My company is using 8.04 LTS and we just ordered in a bunch of new SuperMicro servers with Intel Core i7 950 processors and Intel X58 Express, ICH10R chipsets. Unfortunately the latest point release (8.04.2) installation can't find my CDROM, NICS, or Hard Drive.
My question is, how do I get 8.04 to work with this computer? My quess is that I have to open up the 8.04 iso, install backports of the drivers I need, then repackage it up.
