Greetings Ubuntuers,
I have upgraded to jaunty which came with blender 2.48 already installed. And just recently installed Blender 2.49
I been waiting for blender to come out with this version, which includes the necessary files to use video in the game engine.
It works great in windows xp. However, following the exact same procedures, I can't get it to play anything in jaunty.
I've tried my limited knowledge to make adjustments with the script to no avail.

Anybody know of a fix to get the ge videotexture running?

Thanks to everyone who participates either directly or indirectly with open source.

I gather nobody else is using videoTexture in ge?
Or nobody is having this particular problem....
A fix would be nice. Perhaps it's with Blender distro.
Either way, I'm sure it's being worked on.
A++ to moderators of these threads and to those working out bugs!
I can see the tasks at hand with both. And know it's not easy and quite time consuming.
Thanks!

Ah yes, they've made the repairs for supporting videoTexture in blenders ge
Download 2.49(a) (http://download.blender.org/release/Blender2.49a/) and all will be good
