I have upgraded fedora on a separate drive from ubuntu. The process overwrote the grub boot pointer and fedora grub configuration would not recognize the third hard drive with ubuntu. I reinstalled the grub mbr with a pointer to disk three (hd2,0) and was going to upgrade the information to link to fedora. To my suprise, the terminal command line has me turned off "user-off:~$". I have checked the permissions and all seem in order. Any other functions work normally. Please tell me what you think happened and a resolution.
