unable to select picture for compiz skydome image

I go to the cube settings and enable the skydome then browse for a picture but it won't show any files within folders, just the folders. I tried typing in the path of a picture but it doesn't show up. Is there something else I have to enable to get it to work?

Are the pictures in a folder that is owned by your user?
