Yesterday I fired up my Asus Eee PC 900 running 9.04 NBR and installed the available updates. The computer locked up during the updates and I was forced to restart. I used the terminal to run the "sudo dpkg --configure -a" command, which finished and told me that two packages were broken and to fix them with Synaptic. I started Synaptic and went to the broken packages section to find nothing...
When I try to start firefox nothing happens. When I try to start it via the terminal I get the following error, "Could not find compatible GRE between version 1.9.0.1 and 1.9.0.*."
I have uninstalled and reinstalled firefox and firefox-3.0 without any success.
Any ideas on how to determine what packages are broken so that I can reinstall them?
