Hi, I am having a rather interesting issue with my work machine. At the moment I am using a HP Proliant ML310 server as a desktop machine. It has an Intel P4 3.2GHz CPU (EMT64) and 5gb RAM. It has an nVidia 8400GS (HP made) plugged in also with a splitter that allows dual monitor support. Under Windows XP this works with the nVidia driver but not the windows default one (causing blue screens). Ubuntu will boot and finish the loading screen then I will see no output apart from my mouse cursor. I am about to try a text install then boot to single user mode to install the nVidia drivers, however I have tried this with Debian 5.02, both monitors did work but they were cloned rather than spanning 2 desktops. If anyone has any ideas about a fix or work around to get both monitors working under linux I would be most appreciative. If there are any more details I can provide, please let me know.. Thank you
