Hi,

After much reading of the Ubuntu forums, I have finally been able to get my dual monitors set up properly using Xinerama. I am now attempting to get Compiz working, but am getting the error message "The Composite extension is not available". I also cannot access the nvidia GUI without receiving another error stating "Could not get screen information RANDR extension is not present". I can still access it via the terminal using gksudo nvidia -settings, however. I have read a bunch of old forums regarding both these issues, but am still confused about how to fix these. I have tried looking for the "xserver-xgl" file through the synaptic to install(for fixing the compiz problem), but it doesn't' even show up in the list. Anyone else been able to solve this problem? Below is my xorg.conf file. Thanks in advance for any advice!

when I first enter the command in the terminal for the xorg file it states this: Xlib: extension "RANDR" missing on display ":0.0"
