I have tried 10 different ways but cannot get past the first minute of the scan screen. I select language then demo and or install. After it starts scanning it suddenly stops. I even attempted this with a 8.10 copy sent to me by Ubuntu (it always worked). I have even installed this copy of 9.04 on other computers with no problems.
Could this be Hardware? I read that Nividia Cards will cause this. Should I try and disable it? Help if you have any Ideas.
This is on a Dell Demension 2350, 2Ghz, 512 Ram, running XP SP3. It also has a Nividia graphics card.

Hardware Problem! Once Nvidia card uninstalled the CD booted right up. For some reason beyond my knowledge the card was the problem.

I've got the exact same problem, but I dont have that graphics card.

Anyone have any idea?

If i leave it a for a few minutes it freezes at the language screen even.

I think, its a hardware problem, but, when i try to boot it off the cd player (which i know works fine) even that freezes during scanning. Whys that?
