Hello everybody,

I have a iBook G3 Clamshell 300mhz processor, 320 MB Ram and a 6 gig HDD. So i got the live cd of xubuntu off the internet and I put it into my iBook at first it was fine and it started loading and then it stopped and said all this computer gibberish, Is there a way were I can install it on my computer without having to go through the whole demo thing? By the way I am using Mac os X 10.2 Jaguar

I know this doesn't really answer your question, but why 7.10? It's not even supported anymore and all the packages would be outdated. I'd go with 9.04...

What izizzle said about using 9.04 is a good idea, plus. . .

. . . it stopped and said all this computer gibberish

That gibberish is probably the only clue that we have to figuring out what went wrong. It's a good idea to have a camera or notepad handy. Without detailed information about your error, we can't be much help.
I don't have a Mac, but from what I've seen, there are some very specific hoops to jump through to get Ubuntu working on that hardware. Better start with the Mac FAQ (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MactelSupportTeam/CommunityHelpPages) and Mac Support Forum (http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=328)

You could try Debian (http://www.debian.org/) which has an official PowerPC port or like izizzle suggested try the PowerPC version of Xubuntu 9.04 which is community supported (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PowerPCDownloads).
