Hi there
I am new and have been trying to download Ubuntu 9.04 form the website but i keep getting this message about 1/4 of the way through.

/Users/Users name/Desktop/ubuntu-9.04-desktop-i386.iso.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.

I have tryed 4 different download locations but they all have the same massage.

So i am just wondering if there is away around this with out having to order the CD?

Hi

You can also try download minimal CD image
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/MinimalCD

The Minimal CD downloads packages from online archives at installation time instead of providing them on the install CD itself. Downloading packages at install time reduces the size of the install CD to approximately 5 to 20MB depending on architecture

You can try to download using torrent

I just downloaded it from the "OSU Opensource" selection under the United States section. Worked great and held 150k (my maximum) for the entire time!

If you keep having this problem you should try a Torrent. I've used torrents to get a few different linux distro cd's in the past. :)
