The scenario:
I installed Jaunty, then I installed a bunch of games & apps. Then I found I had to reinstall Jaunty. I was hoping the install process wouldn't write over all the additional software I had installed - alas it had.
The question:
Is there an easy way to protect additional software from being overwritten if OS has to be reinstalled?
