Hi, read the wiki and searched around a ton.
Booting off the live cd for 9.04 my SATA hard drives are not detected. an fdisk -l is blank, no media detected. I'm currently running kubuntu 8.04 and it works fine, detects my sata drives, windows detects them, etc. Error given is "ATA 1: SRST FAILED"
this isn't a ubuntu only problem, recent versions of other distro's also fail to detect them, so i'm assuming its a new/bugged kernel thing. If anyone else has/had this problem and found a solution, i'd LOVE to hear it.
I'd really like to run 9.04 as 8.04 doesnt detect my video card and running at 640x480 makes me want to kill myself.
