Hello, hope I am not making a new thread for this,I couldn't find any. I am trying to boot ubuntu from the CD that came with a book for linux. when trying to boot,I get the ubuntu screen and after awhile I get an error, graphics interface,x drive. I am not sure how to get past this and get ubuntu working. I am quite new to comuters and I cant really understand all the ''tech talk'' in the book, nor can I find anything in the book about this problem. I do have windows on my computer and am dual booting from thid=s CD. Anyone know how I can fix this? Lol at the first cup of ubuntu........

Do you get to a menu? My guess is the problem is with your graphics card, so if you see the menu, choose Safe mode, or something like that.

It is also possible that the cd is damaged.
