Hello there!

I am relatively new to Ubuntu, and I am in absolute awe of what Compiz-Fusion can do to my desktop ! :D

I have a quick question though.
I am trying to get compiz to apply different opacity settings to windows, depending on the window's current state.

For example, if there are two windows open: Firefox and the Pidgin-Buddy-List; neither maximized, and with the Firefox webpage having the "focus" [let's say I'm browsing the Ubuntu forums ;)].

Now, I would like to know if Compiz can make the Pidgin-Buddy-List "transparent", so that Firefox is the only application that is "fully visible". In effect, I'm trying to get the "Opacity, Brightness and Saturation" function to have an effect similar to what "Focus Blur Window" does :)

Does anybody know if this is possible?
I guess it has to do something with defining the right "state" under the "window-match" option inside the settings?

never mind!

Just found out that compiz already has this effect built in, under the 'trail focus' setting
;)
