this is more of a curiosity post rather than a question.
i recently received a dell inspiron 1545 laptop with an ati 4300 graphics card. when i booted up from the live cd, the restricted driver manager showed the ATI proprietary drivers, and in use.
however, after i installed, the drivers weren't loaded, or visible in the manager.
i did a quick google and manually installed the drivers just fine. i was just wondering as to why they seemed to be pre-loaded in the live cd, and didnt carry over into the actual install itself
