I thought Koogle was a Google frontend for KDE. But I don't think we can talk about what Koogle is.

i was joking, in part, but i'd never heard of them for real. i found bing and thought "meh". having nothing to hide from google stalker, i like their stuff, so it would have to be something distinctly better if i were to stop using google. keyboardr is kind of neat, but i see it as essentially a google tool. thanks for the links.

Doing some searching for Koogle, I think it is an online hoax picked up by Reuters.
So far I can find Bing and Wolfram Alpha but No Koogle.

If Koogle is legit, then no, I won't be using it, since I'm not an Orthodox Jew, but Bing and Wolfram|Alpha might get some of my attention.

I seriously doubt Koogle is legit since no one has posted a URL.

I just went there - koogle.co.il. I can't read Hebrew so I have no idea what any of it says.

So it does exist! I wonder why none of the news articles online posted a link?

I have no idea what Koogle is, but I'll check it out.
Bing is a good search engine.
Wolfram Alpha, however isn't even a search engine.
It's more of an advanced encyclopedia/calculator/knowlegde database.
edit: Koogle :
Religiously devout Jews barred by rabbis from surfing the Internet may now 'Koogle' it on a new 'kosher' search engine, the site manager said yesterday.
That one?
Because I wouldn't use that even if someone hold a gun to my head for moral reasons.

Wolfram|Alpha is really going to help me through calculus next school year. I already use it every now and then. M$'s commercials for Bing made it look really promising, but I tried the phrase "blender snow" (referring to the FOSS 3D modeler, Blender), and the only tutorial I got was a single video tutorial. I tried the same thing in Google and I immediately got several good tutorials right at the top. I'm sticking with Google for now.

I simply like Bing b/c it gives me multiple solutions for my search term while wolfram seems more one sided.
