Dear All,

Please can any suggest what are the software supports I should have to play songs,movies etc? and how to install?

ubuntu version that I am using:
Linux ubuntu 2.6.27-7-generic #1 SMP Fri Oct 24 06:42:44 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux

Open Synaptic (System > Administration > Synaptic Package Manager) and look for the ubuntu-restricted-extras package, install it and most media should work.

go to Applications add/remove on the top where it says show select all applications then in search type extras l think that all you need
