My sister is trying to reinstall her Toshiba Equium L30 from a messed up 9.04 install to a fresh one.

Trouble is that the 9.04 CD that is burned with the same CD-burner that burned the 8.10 CD used for the initial installation won't read in this burner.
Ubuntu says that the CD is empty or that the CD is an Audio CD. The same CD (9.04) works fine on two other computers. We've burned 2 CD's and none of them work in the Toshiba, The 8.10 CD works in the Toshiba...

What is the problem here? The BIOS doesn't seem to support booting from USB so installation from there is a no-go. There is a network boot option in the BIOS but I don't know where (or how) I would do a network installation of Ubuntu.

Any ideas?
