Hi all.. :D
Last week I installed Ubuntu Jaunty.. This is my first time.. everything went well.. But I find the graphics performance is really low when compared to win XP..
"Blender" application is messed up.. but it works fine in win XP.
Youtube videos on fullscreen mode lags alot.

I am using Intel embeded graphic chipset.

$ lspci

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82845G/GL[Brookdale-G]/GE Chipset Integrated Graphics Device (rev 03)

I tried various methods mentioned in the forum like changing xorg.conf file.. nothing worked..

please help me to solve this issue.. !!!!!

Intel embeded graphic chipsets are made to work with windows and linux just hasnt got the drivers working as well as the m$ ones.. it is regretable.

I recomend getting a well supported graphic card like nvidia. The 9400 is a good option.. cheap and powerful!
