I'm having a problem with installation. I have checked the CD and it is good. I ran the checksum when I downloaded and it was fine too.

The installation goes fine until it goes to the desktop. I see the orange colored desktop for a few seconds before the screen turns gray, with a white box where a menu might be on the upper left side. The mouse pointer is a circle where the progress indicator moves maybe 90 degrees around the circle, then nothing happens. I can move the mouse, but there is no activity in the hard drive or the CDrom.

I am trying to install to a new hard drive. But I haven't gotten to any point where I could indicate this. The old drive is disconnected from the system. Only the new drive I am trying to install to is hooked up.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Well after I tried it numerous times until I gave up, my husband tried it once just now, and it installed. So never mind. It is working now. Thanks.
