I am moving from Suse to Ubuntu, and I copied the significant parts of /etc/passwd, /etc/group, and /etc/shadow over to ubuntu's same files. For example my /etc/passwd shows
vielmaj: x:1000:100:Jason Vielma:/home/vielmaj:/bin/bash
at the end of the file. However; I cannot log in to the system. Is there anything else I need to change to be able to log in?
I forgot to mention before, that if I change the password, it will log me in. I don't want to do that since I am moving 200 accounts this week.
