View Full Version : [kubuntu] LCD Weather Station- How do I enter my location!?!

I dont understand... Ive trying my city name, state name, zip code, and combinations of all those and i always get a message saying this is not a valid location

Edit: Im in the detroit area so if anybody can get a city in that area to work, your help would greatly be aprreciated

Hi kh1116.

If you rightclick the icon, then preferances> location, you should see a

list of places. Scroll down to United States, and click the arrow.

You will see a list of states. Click the Michigan arrow to find a list of

cities.

Click the Detroit arrow and a list of places will show.

Grosse ile airport is one that you could choose.

im not sure what your talking about, could you/ someone else send a screenshot maybe? thank you your help is appreciated!!

If you click the triangle that is to the left of the name, it gives a drop-

down box with more info.

In your case, scroll down the list to United States.

Click the triangle next to it to get a list of states.

Where did you click to get to this menu?

Thanks for correcting me -jo-.

I was using the gnome applet.

The problem with the plasmoid has supposedly been fixed.
