Like these, what language is a vim script?

vim is havin BASIC, lot of sh,bash and c programs...........

I think vim uses it's own thing. Bram Moolenaar never really says anything other than vim script.

It doesn't look like anything I've seen before.

yep, vim uses their own thing indeed, its just "vimscript"

If you have the ubuntu vim-full or vim-gnome package then you can also write scripts for vim using Perl, Python, Ruby, or Tcl.
Start up vim and see more details using ":help perl", ":help python", ":help ruby", or ":help tcl".
