I tried searching for an answer here, but I have a question that doesn't translate well to simple search keywords.

I am running Jaunty on a Thinkpad T61 (having upgraded to it from Intrepid using Update Manager.) I've had some issues lately that makes me think I should just do a fresh install of Jaunty. My question has to do with what to backup, beyond the normal data in my home folder. Are there files/folders from the linux file system that I should be backing up? The one file I did save is xorg.conf because I made changes to it that are specific to the Thinkpad. Anything else that would make things easier to get back up and running after I lay down a fresh Jaunty install?
