convert WIM to bootable ISO help?

HI,

I have installed Ubuntu on a spare partition on my hard drive as my windows installation is not working. My machine has a recovery partition that I cannot boot from anymore so I need to know if there is a way of turning the WIM file (complete backup of Windows) into a bootable ISO that I can then burn to disk. I would ideally need to be able to do this from within Ubuntu.

Anyone know where to start?

hm have you tried mounting the backup partition? if you can mount it just make a copy of it and use the appropriate software to turn it into a bootable iso

Hi,
I have managed to mount the partition and that is how I am getting access to the .WIM file which is my backup, is there a way of mounting that file under Ubuntu? I know that I can do this with Windows using WinMount...but then there is still the challenge of how to turn it into a bootable disk image.
