I have Ubuntu 9.04 amd64 installed on a 750GB hard drive. What I would like to do is to add a software raid 0 array using 2 500GB disks. I want to keep the OS and my data on the original 750GB disk. I will be using the raid 0 array for some more intensive I/O problems. Every other guide I have seen assumes a new install and that the OS will be running off a partitioned piece of the raid array. I'm guessing it is possible to do what I want to do, but I haven't seen any pointers. Does anyone have suggestions as to how to proceed or what I need to think about? Many thanks!
