I am trying to install Wine on my computer. I'm using Ubuntu 7.10 (Gusty) and just installed it. I was having trouble w/ Windows, but still have some programs that I need to use to transfer some pictures over.

I downloaded Wine from the Older .deb Versions from the website. It tries to install using GDebi, and I get this error message:

Error: Dependency not satisfiable: wineI am completely new at Ubuntu, so don't be super technical :(

Hi, Gutsy has reached its end of life which means you will not receive any security updates. I would suggest installing a later version of ubuntu that is currently supported like Hardy 8.04, Intrepid 8.10 or Jaunty 9.04.

Thanks. Yes, I just took a trip to the Ubuntu IRC room, and I was notified of this by "Xcell". There is a link to where you can download all of Gutsies repos to DVDs. Click here (http://blog.mypapit.net/2007/12/download-ubuntu-gutsy-gibbon-dvd-repository.html).

Just in case you were not aware, those dvd's will provide you with the gutsy packages but not on going security updates.
