i have 2 partitions and currently i am using 1st(ext3) in ubuntu and in 2nd(file32) i wanna install xp.please tell how to do it?

Please take care by asking such generically questions... use google first, secound use forum search, third accept that will take 4 till 10 hours to lern to dual boot

i did as is mentioned in the links but when i insert my bootable xp cd and restart,my computer does not detects anything on cd and afterwords boots ubuntu.
please help!
