View Full Version : [ubuntu] Kernel Panic at boot

I'm receiving this error when I try and boot into ubuntu:

Sorry for the glare, if there's necessary information in there I can find out what its saying.

This happens after the splash screen. A friend has had a problem similar and the "other boot options" irqpoll all_generic_ide_floppy=off helped him but not me.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

That could be faulty RAM, with numerous STACK errors. Can you buy a 1GB stick of RAM, swap out the old modules and try the new stick?

Not easily, but I have run many RAM tests recently and they show nothing. Is that something that would not come up on a normal RAMtest?
