Desktop cube not coming

Hi! In ccsm I have checked the options of desktop cube, rotate cube and cube reflection,deformation. Still the desktop cylinder is not showing on ctrl+alt+lmb
Instead when i do that a 2D desktop flip occurs. Plz help me.

You just don't have enough workspaces. By default, there are only 2. See those two squares in the bottom right hand corner? Right-click 'em, click preferences, and change the number of workspaces there. If you want a cube, make four of 'em. Done!
