hey guys,
ok i hope i can make myself clear...
i upgraded to 9.04 a couple of days ago, then i reinstalled it because some stuff was messed up...
i tried to copy my homefolder so i would have everything as before, didnt work so well, so i wanted to install again...
this time i realise that i didnt have my homefolder backed up anymore because i didnt copy-paste but cut-pasted, which then led me to press cancel in a hurry...
now grub was messed up so i installed ubuntu "side by side" so i could still get to my old partition, which i think i can, only that the only thing i find in there is the "lost+found" folder, which is empty...
does this mean all the data has been deleted already or am i too stupid to find them?
comments appreciated, just so u know, im a beginner so if u want me to give u info about my system please tell me the line i have to enter
thanks in advance

Seems like everything in /home was deleted upon reinstall. You might be wise to create a separate /home partition, which will not get overwritten when reinstalling or upgrading.
