just threw the xp out that came with the machine and loaded remix. it did not work initially then loaded again..now it is working. i observed one thing - with xp the netbook was supporting resolution upto 1200x800 (good for connecting bigger monitors) but remix only supports 1024x600 maximum resolution? am i missing something.
