I am having installation problems.
I am trying to install ubuntu 9.04 with "live cd"

when i get to the partitioning screen, it doesn't allow me to click on anything. And nothing appears in the partitioning area.

if i press next it gives me the "No root file system is defined.

Please correct this from the partitioning menu"

Did you run a media check to ensure that your live CD didn't have issues when you burned it? I had a problem where the live CD would start the computer up to the point of the GUI and then ask for a password. For some reason, a corrupt portion of the CD was causing this behavior.

ya.. i checked twice if the cd was alright and it passed both times.

What option are you choosing when you get to the partitioning screen?

it doesn't let me click on anything. there are no options for me to choose from..

Sounds like either a bad download, a bad burn, or a bad cd. I would reburn the download as you say it is good to a different cd. Do not burn more than 4x. That often helps in cases of bad burns.
