So I have been learning how to play guitar (or trying to at least) and I keep thinking "guitar hero makes it look a heck of a lot easer'
Then it hit me, why hasn't anyone made a guitar hero like game for a real guitar!?!
this seems like it could work...and all be done with open source code...
Hook a wire on each pickup of the guitar and run it to a 6 port usb sound input devise.
From there, use jack to run each input to it own tuner (or real-time score editor) which gives an output in the form of a note. From the note, one can tell the fret down.
Then you take something like Frets on Fire, change up the fret board so its horizontal, color the strings and have the the notes/cords come from topside.
could it be done?
