Hi, all,

Several months ago, after I installed 8.04, I manually changed my software repositories to those provided by my ISP. Since then, my ISP has moved its repositories and although I've added the new URL under the Third-Party Software tab in Software Sources and deleted the old ones, I keep getting an error message when I try to update:

Could not download all repository indexes

The repository may no longer be available or could not be contacted because of network problems. If available an older version of the failed index will be used. Otherwise the repository will be ignored. Check your network connection and ensure the repository address in the preferences is correct.

Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

How do I fix this? (the new URL is http://mirror.files.bigpond.com/ubuntu/ )

You can remove the unwanted repositories from your etc/apt/sources.list file manually, or using the Software Sources menu item. See this document (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Repositories/Ubuntu).
