Hello...

I'd like to know, which file systems you use for backing up your files in ubuntu (external hds or sticks).
Do you use for compatibility fat32, ntfs or do you choose a linux filesystem (ext2, ext3, ext4)?

Regards

for back up i use fat32/ ntfs (depends on the side of the medium) for compatability. you don't want to be stuck trying to find a linux machine in case yours is broken. Its easier to be able to use your friends windows machine for emergency.
