Quick one...

How can i list the software i have installed and from what repositories they are?

Synaptic tells you what is installed and, I think, what repository it came from.

synaptic is the non-jumbled name. :)


It can be found from the Computer->system configuration menu.

Reload the list once every few days to get the latest list of packages.

type..

$ dpkg -l

..then go cross eyed!!

That will only show what packages i have installed, not from what repository it
was installed....
