I installed UNR but later switched to enabling compiz and having a regualar GNOME desktop.

I was able to stop windows from opening full screen by disabling "maximus" from the "starttup applications".

Now the only thing I miss is to have my usb stick icon to appear on the desktop when it is mounted.

How can I accomplish that?

Thanks in advance

Applications/System Tools/Configuration Editor

apps/nautilus/desktop

tick volumes visible

You can also access the editor this way:

Alt-F2
gconf-editor
