how install old version software vlc

as object, i have to install the old version Vlc mozilla plugin ver. 0.86i but i don't kow how i hav to do. Can someone halp me? With synaptic i don't find it but only new version 0.9.9. thank you.

You can download it from here (http://packages.ubuntu.com/hardy/mozilla-plugin-vlc), but maybe you want to tell us what kind of problem do you have with latest VLC plugin?

I've been trying to install an older version of vlc too and it's being kind of a hassle. The new player plays video in a window separate from the vlc controls. No matter how I change the settings it still does this. I love vlc but the separate window for video drives me crazy.
