I have just changed to the nVidia proprietary drivers on Ubuntu 8.04 LTS and reset the screen resolution to 1600 x 1200
At logon the top right corner of the regular logon image fills the entire sreen and the username and password dialog boxes are off screen and therefore not visible to the user.
Everything works - i.e type username (Enter) password (Enter) and login continues as normal but it is quite disconcerting being unable to see what you are typing.
There must be somewhere to either reset the size of the image back to ??1024 x 768 OR increase the resolution of the sreen at logon so that one can see what one is doing.
Any help appreciated.
