"failed to execute child process" when running script from xfrun4

I try to run a script from xfrun4 (Alt+F2) and get "failed to execute child process".
The script is in ~/bin, it's an executable and ~/bin is in $PATH.

When running it from terminal it's working.
Any ideas?

is it a terminal script?
what happens if you run it> xfterm4 -e script
without seeing the script and knowing it's purpose, your asking for answers we can't give.

I created a new bin folder and moved my script to the new folder it it worked.

not sure what it was. maybe permission issues on the old bin folder..
