Hi

I've just received Ubuntu CD today, and of course I immediately ran it

While installing .. a problem appeared to me .. it was about that the hard disk has a problem need to be fixed !! then the installation stopped and left some files behind it on the hard (about 2G I guess) .

It reached 62% then did that .. it was so close

I've Windows XP Professional on my PC .. and I wanted to install Ubuntu side by side

Now, when I try to install Ubuntu again .. the choice "install side by side" is no longer there !!

I tried to launch "install in the free space" .. but there is no more free space in that partition !!

How can I remove these files and re-install Ubuntu? .. or even fix the previous installation of Ubuntu ?!

Waiting a help .. I'm in the installation window right now

If the Ubuntu CD is the live CD, you can select the option to Try Ubuntu, (Boot into the Live CD) and from there use the partition editor (System >> Administration >> Partition Editor) to delete the Ubuntu partition and then reboot and try installing again.
