will formatting my Hard disk drives and/or my hard drives completly remove Ubuntu & GRUB?

Yes, formatting will wipe everything.

Do you have anything else, i.e. O/Ss and/or data on your hard drive ?

If not, then get www.killdisk.com and after you WIPE the drive, I assure you, you will have NOTHING on it !!!

P. S. - Let me qualify that, it will have nothing on it that can be "easily" recovered !!!

Pretty much so, yes. There are some types of formatting that preserve the data but remove any pointers to it, meaning it is theoretically possible to restore the data. However, for most purposes, once you format, your stuff is gone.

When you do a low-level format, the disk is overwritten and all data is destroyed.

Reformatting will NOT necessarily remove GRUB, although it should remove any operating systems, including Ubuntu.

KillDisk is the way to go.

ok. thanks guys... and no wpshooter i have nothing on my pc thats valuable...
