I am wanting to install ubuntu, but want the option when it loads to pick between that and kubuntu. I did this a few years ago, but don't remember how. Any help on this?

If you already have ubuntu installed, add kubuntu-desktop, if you started with kubuntu installed, add ubuntu-desktop. It's as simple as that.

+1, choose at login.

I dual boot and share my home folders(keeps either one from bloating the other, gtk apps in gnome, Qt apps in kde(as much as possible)).

Sometimes I want the fun and easy flexibility of KDE, but I always end up back in gnome(faster and more familiar to me now).
