i got a cheap p.c with ony room foe one hard drive and one disc drive . it came with a 160 g. drive and i pulled it out and put in a 500 g. i bootede ubuntu onto the new disc from cd and it took up whole drive . now i wanna try and partition unough room to hook up old dics to dics drive and put vista onto this bid drive. also how much room should i give vist if i only use it to play games

I think it is simpler if you put Windowa in first.

Not sure what that means. I understand you want to shrink the Ubuntu partition, but then what? I don't understand "hook up old disc to disc drive". Do you mean to say you want to copy over data from your old drive onto a new partition on the new drive?

That would depend on how many games you want to load out onto the partition in addition to Visa.

If that first link to gParted from Anger 2 doesn't help you understand how to partition, what about it, exactly, didn't you understand? Thats a pretty clear explanation of how to partition and has a lot of screenshots. What is it you're not understanding?
