Hello Ubuntu comunity,

I have 2 questions about updates of KDE packages in the official repository.

The first question is: what's the newest version of KDE in the official repos? Because right now i'm using Kubuntu 9.04 and the newest is 4.2.2. I have messed up my repos recently with some ppas and reinstalled the whole kubuntu-desktop form scratch and that is what I got, dunno if it's some kind of messed configuration

But appears that indeed the repos are somewhat old. The announces of KDE 4.2.3 and 4.2.4 on Kubuntu site give me instructions to add a ppa. And then the second question, why should I have to add the ppa to get a _bug fix_ release of supported software? This makes no sense at all. 4.2.4 is 3 days old and 4.2.3 was released a month ago and yet my computer don't see a update... Why is this taking so long?

Sorry if this sound like a rant but i think it's a serious question if you make users wait months to get a already released bug fix
