Installation Problem

this is not the first time i was installing ubuntu. but this time problem occurred. I was installing ubuntu through image(image is ok), then i pressed "install inside windows" & so on..... when it rebooted it goes hang on a screen. with no processing bar moving....but processor & HDD lights are on their max. what should i do ???..

I have ubuntu 9.04 installed on two desktops in my house and today I tried installing it on my old IBM thinkpad laptop running windows 2000 and encountered the same problem. Not sure what to do..
