KDE 4 Classic Desktop?

Hi, I'm personally really not a fan of all the desktop widgets introduced in KDE 4, can anyone tell me if there is a way that I can get the classic desktop back?

To clarify, I do like KDE 4, I just want the desktop to basically be a fullscreen "folder view widget".

I believe Suse has this functionality.

In KDE 4.2 you may right click on the desktop, select desktop settings and select folder view at the top

Can't stand the limited features of gnome :)

How does KDE 4.3 work under Karmic? :) I've been wanting to give it a try, but I'm worried about the stability.

Pretty cool, it's unusually stable on the laptop although K3B throws up an error when ripping a cd (1.65 Alpha). It's got most of the 4.2 features, it's more of a stability fix to be honest although the Alt+F2 menu is better - not a fan of amarok 2 though
