What do you think about the whole "gamer" style? That includes the crazy case, cold-cathodes, LED mice and keyboard, etc. Or do you prefer something slicker? A simple black/gray setup?

I personally haven't made up my mind yet. Right now I have an all-black laptop, desk, speakers, and mouse. But when I build a proper desktop computer I'll have to decide whether I'm going to get a nice brushed aluminum case or something crazier. :D

The second one looks hot. Not a lot of cooling!

i'm a pretty heavy gamer, but prefer cases like the lower one. i have an Antec 1200 myself, but normally turn off the LED's

I'm a fairly heavy gamer. However, to give you an idea of my opinion on glowing lights and other chrome-- I disabled my power and disk access LEDs, and I bought a CPU fan for my case instead of a real case fan, just because all the case fans on newegg had LEDs and I didn't want one.

I'm no gamer. All my computers are great big disgusting beige boxes which live under the stairs, and that's where they belong. You kids and your fancy games. Get off my lawn!

I like art that follows function - I'm an artist but also an EE, and I HATE UNNECESSARY HEAT.

No LEDs but I love looking at her legs just like the you guys do. I strip off the cowling and paint the chassis. Sometimes I'll put a coat of red on the power supply. After that liquid cooling and coloured cables can "bling" it up some. If i want flash I'll add a few delictae homemade aluminum foil origami heatsinks. I'll send a pic soon but i'm travelling now.

Sheesh $300 for a case? I would never spend over a hundred. :) And look at that overkill of optical drive openings.

I love my gaming PC! Lots of pretty blue LEDs, and I have a UV cathode tube lighting up hot pink cable sleeves. :D

I bought a Raidmax just like that one pictured once. Came wired COMPLETELY wrong-wrong color leads, wrong connectors on the wrong leads you name it. It is a cheap POS, with a PSU COMPLETELY inadequate for most gamers nowadays.

I love my clean LianLi. I'll admit I've thrown some coldcathode tubes in, in addition to the LEDs on my CPU HSF, and in my RAM though.

The trick is to be artful about that. Too much of anything looks bad.
