Hi all! I'm new to this forum. I recently installed ubuntu 9.04. I have used several other linux distros since switching from windows about 6 months ago.

I am having an issue that I haven't been able to find a fix for. I searched this forum and didn't find my exact same issue.

Facebook displays at about half the size it should- it's very small and centered in the page with white columns down both sides of the screen where it should be stretched out to.

I have nvidia- and my settings for screen resolution are correct. Everything else displays just as it should.

If anyone has experienced something like this, I would appreciate any input!

Thanks :)

When enabling javascript, should I check or uncheck anything in "advanced" options?

This didn't work for me. I don't have adblock add on enabled, to be able to disable it..... does anyone have any ideas?

Post a screen shot?

Yah. Unless you can post a screenshot showing the error, what you described is the way it's supposed to display. At least, that's the way it's always displayed for me in both Linux and Windows. Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're getting at.

No, it definitely doesn't display correctly. It was fine when I switched from Mint 7 to Ubuntu 9.04. It's basically half the size it should be .

I have done "ctrl ++", but I need to be able to make a change that I can save. That doesn't save anything.

I'll get the screenshot on here.

Sorry about the "take a screenshot" overlapping- don't know what happened there... but, as you can see, FB is not right. it's far too small.

If Ctrl + '+' works temporarily, then it's just the browser zoom that's the issue. Firefox should remember the setting on a per-site basis. This sometimes doesn't stick if you have a couple of different tabs open with different zoom settings.

Try this:

Open facebook.com, making sure it's the only page open (no other tabs)
press Ctrl + 0 (that's a zero) to set zoom to default level. Does facebook look ok?
Close firefox completely, then open it up again and go to facebook.com. Does it still look ok?
